What is the river to me? Our exhibition by a group of Central Victorian artists invites you to see local waterways with fresh eyes. Creeks, rivers, reservoirs, even drains, are part of us - in our memories, our parks, our farms, our towns, our wild secret places, and even – perhaps most especially – in our bodies. Yet we can easily take them for granted.
The artists in this exhibition approach the waterways with curiosity and reverence. The artworks explore their beauty and fragility through memories, histories, maps, observations and deep personal connections.
